Licence agreement

Nightfall and KeyLens aren't on sale yet. This is how it will work when they are.

This agreement is between you and SoundFigure. It covers Nightfall, KeyLens and their updates (each "the plugin"). By installing or using a plugin you agree to it. If you don't agree, don't install it.

1. The free trial

You can use the plugin free for its trial period (7 days) on one computer. Before the trial starts and after it ends, the plugin stops working as an effect or a display, but it never changes your sound, and your projects keep their settings.

2. Your licence

When you buy a key, we give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the plugin on up to three computers at a time that you own or use. You can use it to make music for any purpose, including commercial releases; anything you make with it is yours. The licence isn't transferable.

3. What you may not do

You may not share your key with anyone else, sell, rent or lend the plugin, or try to get round its activation or its trial. You may not copy, change, decompile or take apart the plugin, except as far as the law allows you to anyway.

4. Activation and your information

The plugin is activated online with your key and a code we email you. To do this we keep your email address, an identifier made from your computer that can't be traced back to it, and your computer's name, so you can see and remove your computers. Once a day the plugin checks for updates; nothing about you is sent. Our privacy notice explains more.

5. Updates

Updates to the plugin are free for as long as we make them. The plugin can download and install them for you when you agree.

6. Other people's software

The plugin includes software and typefaces made by others, used under their own licences. Their notices come with the plugin, in the "Third-party notices" file installed beside it.

7. When this licence ends

If you break this agreement, or your payment is refunded, reversed or disputed, your licence ends and your key is turned off.

8. Quality and our responsibility

We do our best to make the plugin work well, but we can't promise it's free of faults or suits every purpose. You still have all your legal rights: if the plugin is faulty or not as described, see our terms of sale and refund policy. We aren't responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for loss of data, profit or business, except where the law doesn't allow this to be limited. Nothing here limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
